DINN-22 project. Optimization of high-loaded propellers for conventional fast ferries.
Application of CLT propellers to ferry-type ships. The full process included propeller design, tests in Calm Water Towing Tank and in Cavitation Tunnel, manufacturing of the full-scale propeller, its mounting on the ship and full-scale sea-trials.
The subject of the study was a Trans-Mediterranean ship that had been initially fitted with a conventional propeller.
This was a joint research project with the companies: NAVANTIA, SISTEMAR, TRANSMEDITERRANEAN and TPI.
