CONBAV project. Improvement of safety and comfort of fast ferries by six degrees of freedom control
Continuation of the project CRIBAV which studied the optimization of T-foils and flaps to reduce vertical motions (pitch and heave) in head sea. This project had the same goal, but added control of the other (all six) degrees of freedom. This can be categorized as a study combining maneuverability and sea-keeping. The radio-controlled model is self-propelled by two water-jets. All motions and accelerations at different locations of the model will be measured.
